South Africa, by technique of the Division of World Family and Cooperation (DIRCO), has conveyed its condolences to the authorities and of us of Iran following the explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran.
The department said the explosion resulted in the deaths of over 40 of us and left more than 1 000 of us seriously injured.
CNN reported that eyewitness accounts show that chemical substances in a fragment of transport containers ignited, main to a powerful bigger explosion.
In accordance to recent experiences, the demise toll has risen vastly, with one expert telling Iranian Order media on Monday that at least 70 of us contain died.
“South Africa extends its heartfelt condolences to the households who contain misplaced kinfolk and desires a hasty restoration to the injured participants, including those from various other countries.
“We commend the efforts of the emergency response teams and volunteers who are working tirelessly to present reduction and abet to those in want, and furthermore commend governments who contain equipped swift abet.
“We stand in solidarity with the government and people of Iran in the aftermath of this tragic accident,” the department said.
