Partnership is portion of series of contemporary film/TV projects constant with Lloyd Webber’s musicals
LW Leisure, formerly Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The In level of fact Recommended Group, announced on Wednesday that it is miles partnering with Qubic Photos and its founder Justin Leach, co-executive producer on the Superstar Wars: Visions anthology and showrunner of the Eden and Leviathan anime, to explore alternatives for an anime adaptation of Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera stage musical.

The Phantom of the Opera musical debuted on London’s West End result in 1986 and on Broadway in 1988. The award-winning musical follows Christine Daaé and the mysterious Phantom who lives underneath the Paris Opera Condominium. It’s constant with the book of the same title by Gaston Leroux. Leroux initially serialized the story from 1909-1910. The musical got a sequel titled Care for Never Dies in Londom’s West End result in 2010.
Qubic Photos and Studio Orange‘s Leviathan anime premiered exclusively on Netflix on July 10.
The first volume of Qubic Photos, Disney, and Lucasfilm‘s Superstar Wars: Visions, an anthology of nine intelligent shorts from Eastern creators and anime studios, debuted on Disney+ in September 2021. Studios such as Living off, Kinema Citrus, Kamikaze Douga, Science SARU, Production I.G, and Geno Studio produced the shorts. Volume 2 of the Superstar Wars: Visions project debuted on Disney+ on Would possibly well 4, 2023 (Superstar Wars Day). Unlike the first anthology, the 2d volume parts nine shorts from animation studios from around the world. There shall be a “Volume 3” next twelve months. Contemporary studios for Volume 3 are ANIMA (in co-manufacturing with Kamikaze Douga), david manufacturing, Polygon Photos, Mission Studio Q, and Wit Studio.
