A pregnant woman who went into labour shortly after being rescued from a migrant boat in the Mediterranean Sea became evacuated by helicopter to Italy on Monday.
Rescuers from the German charity Sea-Stare found the boat in distress crammed with 67 folk on Monday morning in the Central Mediterranean.
They handed out lifejackets sooner than transferring everybody to the organisation’s rescue ship Sea-Stare 5.
Rescuers soon realised the pregnant woman had uncommon problems requiring clinic therapy on land for the mother and dinky one to continue to exist.
