Cameroon’s presidential election gathers momemtum as candidates file for the October vote

Candidates are beginning to vie for location in Cameroon’s October presidential election.

Candidacy submissions in Cameroon formally opened on Monday for October’s presidential election. Nevertheless it wasn’t unless Thursday that things gathered momentum, when President Paul Biya filed his candidacy by his proxy Jean Nkuete.

A candiate supported by Anicet Ekane’s Manidem. Kamto, who is inflicting rather a hunch, defying all the predictions, didn’t consult with the press.
