Attorneys attempting to set routine administrative functions at the Jap Cape Division of the Excessive Court in Mthatha advise that court officers are soliciting bribes – some as excessive as R15,000 – to build responsibilities that ought to be part of their customary jobs.
The allegations were first detailed in an anonymous December 2024 letter to the Jap Cape’s Performing Agree with President Zamani Nhlangulela after which Performing Deputy Agree with President Bantubonke Tokota.
