Episode 10 of I May Be a Guild Receptionist, But I will Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time provides more character exploration for our leads than any entry to date.
Alina and Jade are back in the highlight this week in a titanic way. They are the leads in dispute that they’re never out of the highlight per se, nonetheless the reveal has spent a considerable amount of time creating Lululee and the area as of late. Now we are treated to Jade’s ongoing image enchancment campaign and the outcomes are really starting to reveal as Alina doesn’t reasonably know what to assemble about it. She finds herself reflecting on how Jade makes her feel, normally and all the way thru this contemporary campaign. Right here is partially spurred on by how other receptionists are talking about Jade, and partially how Alina is treated by other guild members (including one particularly sleazy guy). Or now not it is candy watching her slowly stumble into a realization about herself and Jade and be caught off guard as certain truths bubble to the surface. Or now not it is certainly a relatable little bit of character writing as these contemporary emotions for anyone can repeatedly catch you off guard whenever you happen to least examine of it – particularly that “annoying behavior” may actually be one thing we crave once it is long gone.
There may be also a lot happening past this. Jade is discovering out his emotions and his like strengths, as successfully as reflecting on Glen’s path to Guild Master and the ways it mirrors and differs fabricate his like adventuring expertise. Alina and Laila regain ambushed by giant stacks of paperwork, and hilariously are better able to deal with an impromptu exorcism than the backlog – two forms of cleric-al work in a single night, who may well have guessed? Lastly the contemporary villain in a skull mask causes disaster and fabricate the seems of it reactivates a few of the guild’s old-fashioned dungeon traps/gadgets, so we’ll have an racy escape lined up for subsequent week (and past?).
