Meta, the company in the support of Facebook and Instagram, has announced a giant project to beget an undersea cable that can join five continents. 

This cable will stretch over 50,000 kilometers (31,000 miles), linking the United States, South Africa, India, Brazil, and other areas.

Why is Meta doing this?
