Djibouti’s International Minister, Mahmoud Youssouf, has won the race to become the fresh Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
Youssouf defeated venerable Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga and venerable Malagasy International Minister Richard Randriamandrato for the prestigious aim.
Youssouf says he will prioritise regional security and promote greater unity all the highest method by Africa, aiming to bridge linguistic and cultural divides on the continent.
His fetch marks a principal moment for Djibouti, as he prepares to manual the African Union’s efforts in tackling key complications facing the region.
