Sudan’s FM visits Moscow seeking more collaborations with Russia

The Sudanese Foreign Minister, on a focus on over with to Moscow on Wednesday, said he “is grateful” to Russia for its abet within the United Nations Security Council.

Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif, talking at some stage in a joint press convention with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, said that attempts to pass a call within the Security Council that will maybe well pave the style for global UN forces to intervene in Sudan had been blocked by Moscow.

“For sure, we reject this intervention in Sudanese affairs, he said.

Al-Sharif added that “we’re working collectively for peace, stability, admire for countries, and nationwide sovereignty.”

Sudan has been unstable since a widespread riot forced the removal of longtime autocratic President Omar al-Bashir in 2019.
