The Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, George Akume, has tasked the newly appointed ministers to uphold nationwide interests and shun private and sectional interests.

Mr Akume gave the fee on the outlet of a two-day induction retreat organised by his place of commercial for the appointees on Thursday in Abuja.

He told the ministers that they’ve been entrusted with the mandate of driving President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s agenda on shapely governance.

“As ministers for your respective ministries, the president has entrusted you with the mandate of driving the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda for pattern, balance, and declare for your sector.

“This induction retreat is designed to equip you with the insights, tools, and guidance wanted for efficient efficiency for your original roles.

“You are, therefore, expected to shun private, ethnic and sectional interests and uphold our nationwide interests.

“As ministers, your duties include upholding national cohesion and to promote peace for national unity and development,” he told them.

The retreat, Mr Akume outlined extra, used to be a platform for files-sharing, strategic planning and alignment with the federal authorities’s priorities and aspirations.

“The dear cause of this retreat is to foster a deep figuring out of the operational suggestions, challenges, and expectations that define your tasks as ministers.

“In addition, you will gain insight into the president’s vision for Nigeria and the role each of you will play in achieving that vision,” he stated.

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Discount, Nentawe Yilwada, pledged his commitment to tackling the ministry’s challenges in reducing poverty amongst weak groups.

He promised to prioritise out-of-college youth by participating with the Ministry of Training to address the challenges faced by depressed of us and guardians.
