At least 14 people, including various teens, were killed in a lightning strike in a refugee camp in northern Uganda, police acknowledged Sunday.
Officials narrate the victims were residents of the Palabek settlement camp, which essentially homes people displaced from South Sudan.
They’d been attending a prayer provider in a makeshift metallic construction when the lighting struck on Saturday night time.
The camp is on the Uganda facet of the nation’s border with South Sudan, and homes round 80,000 people.
Police spokesman Kituuma Rusoke acknowledged 34 other people were injured and bask in been admitted to health centres in the house.
The victims haven’t yet been known.
Deadly lightning is commonly reported in Uganda during the moist seasons.
