Ladies politicians in rural Gambia said insufficient funding is deterring females’s participation in politics, especially contesting in elections within the Gambia.
The duo of damaged-down females politicians said political events’ fund are inadequately financing their political activities which posed serious challenges to their election campaigns.
The females politicians cum girl councilors made the statements right during the Ladies in Management Challenge coaching conducted by Nationwide Centre for Civic Training in Basse Living Council.
Lady Councillor of Basse Soma Jallow said she struggled to finance her councillorship marketing campaign because she got insufficient funding right during the elections.
She added that she had personnel sponsor the foods and drinks right through her marketing campaign and her victory salvage together because all her supporters visited her at house.
She said females politicians want marketing campaign financing and options so that they’ll mobilise funds and effectively take part in politics.
The worn Lady Councillor of Baja Kunda Aja Jerreh Jakana said she also struggled to finance her outdated marketing campaign.
