third challenge in Kodansha‘s ‘Aniehon’ initiative
Eastern adventurer Yasunaga Ogita and illustrator Nana Inoue‘s kid’s checklist e-book Pihotek: Walking With the Wind in the North Pole (Pihotek: Hokkyoku o Kaze to Aruku or Pihotek: Walking the Arctic With the Wind) inspired an anime quick. Animehon, a brand fresh animation initiative from Kodansha, posted the 30- second commercial version of the animation and the two-minute director’s decrease version on September 6.
The quick is the third challenge in the Animehon initiative, which animates quick movies in line with Kodansha‘s checklist books (ehon in Eastern).
Kodansha describes the legend:
Informed by his relationships with Inuit associates and two decades of principally solo expeditions, Yasunaga Ogita pens a poetic legend of a stroll in the Arctic. He observes animals in their pure habitat, and falls asleep with a technique of oneness with nature mediated by the wind. Then when the fresh destroy of day arrives with vitality for the world, he devices off walking again. An essay in the reduction of the e-book discusses the seriousness of local weather commerce.
Kazuhiro Hocchi (episode director on Rita et Machin, Shōnen Ashibe GO! GO! Goma-chan) directed the quick, and Yuri Habuka (Extra Than a Married Couple, But Now not Enthusiasts, Maebashi Witches, Zannen na Ikimono Jiten) composed the tune. Fanworks keen the quick.
Kodansha published the e-book in August 2022.
