Contribute to budget planning, revision and monitoringPrepare, track, and maintain registers and receiptEnsure financial transactions are authorised, recorded, filed with adequate supporting documentationPrepare employees’ pay slipsManage suppliers and inventories (orders, delivery invoices, etc…)Prepare timely and reliable financial updates, reports and statements;Provide reports and information to the Director and the Treasurer as requiresSupport the conduct of Green DEALL financial auditsAssist with financial policy updating and enforcement
Run administrative operations and errandsPerform digital and physical archiving of documentsAssist in organising meetings and drafting meeting reportsAssist in preparing Green DEALL activity and project reportsEnsure proper record keeping of programme, project and administrative activitiesAssist staff with travel and lodging arrangementsAssist with administrative policy development and enforcementCoordinate visa issuance and other arrangements for foreign visitorsEnsure proper welcome arrangements for foreign visitorsAny other tasks assigned by the Director
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration from a recognised educational institutionBachelor’s degree in the above areas with additional years of relevant experience is accepted
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Finance and AdministrationAccounting/book-keeping (experience with computerised accountancy systems would be ideal)Data recording and monitoring – preferably experience with electronic data recording systems
Accuracy in reporting detailed financial informationStrong computing skills and mastery of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, etc..), and handling of web-based management systems (Share Point, Microsoft team, etc.)Confidence in liaising with external organisationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiativeAbility to manage resources in an efficient and effective way, in line with principles of accountability and integrityAbility to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload, manage competing tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to travel to locally and to rural areas as required
Fluency in English is requiredProficiency in French is an added advantage
