He reaffirmed The Gambia’s steadfast dedication to the African Structure and pledged to work alongside the Charge, Member States, and civil society to translate the Structure’s principles into tangible protections for all Africans.

“Continued collaboration remains our greatest strength. Governments, civil society, national institutions, and individuals must unite to strengthen legal frameworks, promote human rights education, and foster inclusive dialogue,” Minister Jallow instructed.

He called on all stakeholders to empower marginalized voices, protect susceptible communities, and make particular that accountability for violations. “As we depart, let us carry forward the spirit of this session: a shared vision of an Africa where every individual–regardless of ethnicity, faith, or creed–lives with dignity, equality, and justice,” he added.

Dr. Litha Musyimi-Ogana, a Commissioner, who read the verbal exchange at the session’s cease, reported that participants introduced their intersessional reports, highlighting activities undertaken of their capacities as commissioners.

“Presentation of these reports generated reactions, contributions, and questions from state parties, National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs), and representatives of civil society organizations (CSOs). Dr. Musyimi-Ogana added that the commission granted observer attach to seven NGOs for the duration of the non-public sessions.
