Eastern Rap/Hip-Hop Community Dos Monos Collaborates with Junji Ito, Nobutaka Yoda, Naoyuki Asano

Eastern rap and hip-hop community Dos Monos published on Wednesday that it is participating with dread manga icon Junji Ito and former animators Nobutaka Yoda and Naoyuki Asano for its novel EP Dos Moons. Ito created the duvet art work for the EP. Yoda and Asano directed the teaser film, which is readily available on Dos Monos’ YouTube channel:

The community launched Dos Moons on May per chance well objective 7 with four songs: “Gilda,” “Pearl,” “Lee Merlin,” and “Oz.”

Dos Monos is a Eastern rap trio peaceable of Zo Zhit, TaiTan, and Botsu aka NGS. In 2018, the community announced it signed with U.S. price Deathbomb Arc and launched their debut album Dos City in March the following year. The community has made appearances at Japan domestic and global festivals and their self-curated match series, “Theater D.” Dos Monos has also collaborated with UK rock band sad midi and U.S. hip-hop community Hurt Reserve, alongside with Taiwan’s Digital Minister Audrey Tang, literary writer Yasutaka Tsutsui, and manga artist Q Hayashida.
