Washington, DC — This day, Secretary of Sigh Marco Rubio convened the Signing of a Declaration of Strategies between the Authorities of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Authorities of the Republic of Rwanda.
International Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner signed on behalf of the Authorities of the DRC, while International Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe signed on behalf of the Authorities of Rwanda. Deputy Secretary of Sigh Christopher Landau, Senior Consultant for Africa Massad Boulos, and Ambassador Troy Fitrell also joined Secretary Rubio on this event.
The Declaration builds on the efforts of the African Union and other regional leaders. It outlines a pathway to peace, stability, and integrated financial building in the jap DRC space, which is key to ending the battle and allowing the space to reach its full doable.
The United States will continue participating with each countries to uphold the declaration’s rules and give a enhance to the significant work in the direction of peace and prosperity.
