Live-Action Fancy a Dragon: Yakuza Series’ Trailer Unveils More Cast

Amazon Top Video unveiled a fresh trailer and visual for Fancy a Dragon: Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku ~Beyond the Game~,) a live-action series based on Sega‘s Fancy a Dragon (Ryū ga Gotoku) action game series, on Tuesday. The description for the Japanese model of the trailer lists extra cast participants who appear within the trailer.

The newly announced cast participants are:

• Yūmi Kawai as Yumi Sawamura
• Hinano Nakayama as Miho Nishikiyama
• Toshiaki Karasawa as Shintaro Kazuma
• Kōichi Satō as Masaru Sera
• Subaru Shibutani as Detective Date
• Saki Takaoka as Reina
• Ryūdō Uzaki as Jin Goda
• Shōhei Uno as Koji Shindo
• Masaya Katō as Dojima
• Tomoya Maeno as The Florist of Sai

The six-episode series will debut on Amazon Top Video in over 240 international locations and territories in two batches on October 24 (October 25 in Japan) and October 31 (November 1). The primary three episodes will stream on October 24.

The series stars Ryōma Takeuchi (Kamen Rider Force, Aozora Scream/Scream for the Blue Sky, The Deer King) as protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. Kento Kaku (Ranma ½ live-action special, SPY×FAMILY Code: White) will play Akira Nishikiyama (a.okay.a. Nishiki). Masaharu Take (100 Yen Fancy, The Naked Director) is directing the series.

The series is partially based on the primary game within the series, which was initially titled Yakuza within the West (the series transitioned to the title Fancy a Dragon, closer to its Japanese title, with the seventh game Yakuza: Fancy a Dragon in 2020). The account will heart on Kiryu and three pals, initially in 1995, and then transitioning to 2005 as Kiryu will get out of a decade-prolonged stint in penitentiary.
