Strategy Development and Implementation
Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goalsEnsure accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the functional strategy, roadmap, and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
Governance
Operational, Tactical and Strategic Meetings
Provide input on all projects initiated.Review key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions.Provide input in strategic meetings when requiredProvide inputs into the risk mitigation and controlsProvide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Escalations
Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery.Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impact if not resolved.Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution
Function Tactical
Provide input into all projects initiatedProvide input into establishing objectives, targets, and budgets for the function as applicable.Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actionsPrepare documentation required for sign-off / making decisions regarding tactical changes.
Performance
Review performance against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAsReview and monitor plan for continuous improvementEnsure execution in alignment with divisional strategyContinuous performance monitoring and adjust strategy and actions to deliver targets
Reporting
Report on a periodic basis relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organizationReport on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required
Budgets
Manage sub-divisional budgets in line with business objectivesManage project or initiative budgets in line with business objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Delivery:
Evaluate business requirements and provide guidance to the business during product, service and project initiation requiring new or modified applicationsIdentify and/or audit product proposals, business requirements, existing policies, and technologiesMonitor business process improvement initiatives especially with regards to product and service development for streamlining PPP’s (People, Process, Product) and align them to international best practicesPerform optimization and performance monitoring for established business processes that are dependent on IT supportAnalyse information needs and deliver functional requirements and business requirements documentationEvaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needsCollaborate with external and internal customers to transform Requirements and concerns into business Use CasesDevelop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural languageActs as a main POC between business customers and IT units regarding IT services demands, designs and deliveries provided to MTN external and internal customersTrack and report on the number of initiatives where best practices in requirement management have been implementedIdentify process improvement/enhancement areas, implement initiatives, and assess the effectiveness of these at enhancing and improving processesSystematically document and formalize a comprehensive set of business processes, ensuring alignment with recognized industry best practicesContinuously ensure timely compilation of business analysis demand planning, meeting designated timelinesTrack and ensure timely sign-off of BRS, SRS handover to Architect and RTM delivery according to the agreed timelines
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field from a reputable institutionFluent in English and FrenchCertifications in ITIL Foundation, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or any BA/BPA related certification, TOGAF, Azure Cloud (AZ900) or any cloud certification will be an advantage
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related fieldWorking knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and data modelling conceptsFamiliarity with various IT systems and technologies (e.g., cloud computing, APIs, System Integration)Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements (Telecommunications and IT)Knowledge of business environment in telecoms industryProficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Knowledge of Product development driven by IT software deliveryRequirement’s definition, process modelling, and operating model designKnowledge TM Forum best practicesPrior experience working with various IT software and systems a plusExposure to formal requirements management, design processesWorking in Project management environment

High-level input at a strategic level into all key business decisions.Audit Role: Ensures all areas of the organization are compliant with legal requirements AND best practice employment policies and procedures.Facilitator Role: Close partnership to support, advise and extend the ability of all areas of the organization to meet their objectives through the implementation of highly effective employment practices in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Reward systems, Performance Management, Health and Wellbeing.Consultancy Role: Provide expert advice to the organization and it’s managers on any aspect of workforce management and employee relations and performance.Service Role: Ensure the organization is fully aware of and is equipped to deal with developments impacting employment matters, such as changes in legislation, changes in the characteristics of the labor market.
