denominated and non-profit. For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for: DATA COLLECTOR/DATA ENTRY CLERK(POOL) M/F
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
Collecting, maintaining and reporting high-quality dataResponsibilities:Attend enumerator training and have a good understanding of data collection tools andtechniques;Proactively engage in pilot testing exercises while working objectively.Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, datarecorders or optical scanners etc.Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.Verify data by comparing it to source documents and update existing data.Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.Carry out scanning activities to save data collection tools in electronic formats.Liaising with supervisor and peers to develop and implement daily work plans.Make sure to carry an Action Against Hunger temporary identification (ID).Plan and work collaboratively with other assigned enumerators.Professionally communicate with respondents (self-introduction, introduction of surveyobjective and purpose) and respect of local customs.Respect of security rules and all AAH procedures.Inform and update supervisor about the daily task at least twice per day.Responsible to report any assistance, challenge and troubles to the supervisor.Submit daily report to the supervisorDIPLOMAS/STUDIES/EXPERIENCE:
Advanced Level plus 2 in any field of studies but diploma/degree in public health, nursing, or social science will be an added advantage. Should have a minimum of three months professional experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection on health; Nutrition; or other related issues preferably with a development and/or humanitarian NGO.Base:

Good knowledge of the area and local customs of Meme and Kupe Manenguba communities ofSW Region.Knowledge/experience working in Meme and Kupe Manenguba communities highly preferablyProven experience as data entry clerk is an assetFast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferredExcellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devicesBasic understanding of databasesGood command of English both oral and written and customer service skillsGreat attention to detailFamiliar with basic android or Smartphone applicationsExperienced in SMART data collection, particularly Kobo Toolbox is an asset.Good capacity to work in a team, capacity to manage priorities,Willingness to work under pressure,Have the ability to cope with stressful situations, good organizational and interpersonal skills,Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to work on strict deadlines;Willing to accomplish each day’s work with peers and supervisor at the end of each day, which may involve long working hours.GENDER APPROACH
